Redentore Utopia II: the new chapter of Made in Italy

Redentore Utopia II: the new chapter of Made in Italy

A New Mechanical Identity

A utopia is not a destination, but a direction. With Redentore Utopia II, we continue the journey that began in 2025, transforming an ambitious idea into an increasingly conscious vision. This is not a simple evolution, but a process of refinement that touches every aspect of the watch: its construction, its finishes, and the way it has been conceived.

Redentore Utopia II represents a new phase in our interpretation of contemporary Italian watchmaking, where the movement is not merely a functional component, but the identity core of the watch itself. A timepiece developed through the union of mechanical expertise and artisanal craftsmanship, where every design choice serves a precise purpose and is conceived to stand the test of time.

The Meaning of Utopia

The Meaning of Utopia

In Greek, utopía refers to a place that does not exist, something without a real location. An idea that, by definition, lies beyond the map. For us, Utopia has never meant escape or abstraction, but rather a direction to follow through tangible work.

Utopia is the name of a project created to demonstrate that a mechanical movement designed and manufactured in Italy could exist, be reliable, and possess a distinct identity. With the first Redentore Utopia, that vision took shape, opening a new chapter in our journey and turning what once seemed unreachable into reality.

With Utopia II, this path enters a new phase. If the first model was the manifesto of an idea, the second represents its more mature and conscious expression. The experience gained over time now allows us to work with greater clarity, no longer driven by the need to prove, but by the freedom to build.

The V5001 Calibre: an evolution of craft

The V5001 Calibre: an evolution of craft

At the heart of Redentore Utopia II beats the V5001 calibre, the natural evolution of the V5000. Designed in Italy and manufactured for us by OISA, the V5001 retains the architecture and technical characteristics that marked a turning point for our brand: a slim 3.5 mm profile, a 60-hour power reserve, and precision regulated to ±3 seconds per day.

To these solid foundations we have added a significant aesthetic advancement. The movement receives a 24-karat gold galvanic treatment, while bridges and mainplate are decorated with radial Côtes de Genève and fine perlage. The wheels feature a double spiral finish, the balance bridge is refined with étirage finishing, and the variable-inertia balance in copper-beryllium alloy is protected by the KIF Elastor® shock-absorbing system.

Every component, even the least visible, is conceived to contribute to a constant balance between mechanical rigor and artisanal sensitivity. The result is a movement designed not only to perform reliably over time, but also to be admired through the exhibition caseback.

Marea Dial: the lagoon engraved in metal

Marea Dial: the lagoon engraved in metal

The dial of Redentore Utopia II forms the visual heart of the project. The Marea pattern is born from a precise inspiration: the perpetual motion of the Venetian Lagoon, matter transformed by light, water reflecting and reshaping every surface.

To bring this vision to life, we collaborated with Atelier Renzetti, one of the very few workshops in the world still dedicated to traditional guilloché craftsmanship. Today led by Linda Renzetti, fourth generation of the family, the atelier engraves each dial entirely by hand on antique 19th-century rose-engine lathes, without any electrical assistance.

Line after line, micron after micron, the metal is sculpted through a slow and controlled rhythm, where time seems to slow down in favor of human precision. The result is a living surface, layered and dynamic, constantly interacting with light and the observer’s gaze.

Two interpretations, one vision

Two interpretations, one vision

Redentore Utopia II is offered in two versions, Alpha and Beta, each expressing a complementary soul of Venice.

Alpha features a gold-toned galvanic finish inspired by the warm glow of noble metals, the reflections of mosaics, and the city’s ornate surfaces. A shade that evokes Venice’s luminous and decorative character, paired with a handcrafted black calf-leather strap with natural grain.

Beta presents a deep graphite galvanic finish, essential and contemporary, inspired by the city’s structural materials. It reflects wrought iron, mooring posts, railings, and the architectural elements that support Venice upon the water. A more modern expression, emphasizing the engraved dial through sharp contrasts of light.

Utopia as Direction

Utopia as Direction

Our journey is rooted in the desire to develop an independent watchmaking voice that begins in Italy and engages with the highest standards of the industry. Every project takes shape through technique, design, and craftsmanship, naturally guiding our creative process.

Over time, this approach has led us to collaborate with ateliers, manufactures, and master artisans who share a vision built on quality, precision, and respect for the rhythms of traditional production. Redentore Utopia II is the result of a path begun several years ago and matured through the technical evolution of our brand, the development of our Made in Italy calibre, and the support of a community capable of recognizing its value.

A project that now concretely guides our technical, design, and aesthetic choices, and looks forward with a clear objective: to contribute to the creation of a new language for contemporary Italian watchmaking.
