For the first time, a Nereide model with a screw-in case back is introduced, allowing it to achieve a water resistance of 30ATM (300m). This feature not only ensures high-level performance but also stands out for depicting the famous four horses of St. Mark's, the primary inspiration for this model. The case back, made of 316L stainless steel, prevents the bronze patina from coming into contact with the skin and is adorned with an alternation of sandblasted and radial satin finishes, giving it a precious and distinctive appearance.
.To enhance the aesthetics of the Nereide Bronze, you can enrich it with a handmade strap in genuine Made in Italy leather. This particular artifact is adorned with engravings that narrate the ancient story depicted in the famous mosaic of St. Mark's Basilica, merging Venice's glorious past with modern artisanal mastery
The oldest mosaic of St. Mark's, dating back to the 13th century, is a unique work that captures the solemn oath of Doge Lorenzo Tiepolo in 1268 during the translation of the relic of St. Mark from the Doge's Palace to the basilica. On the sides, the presence of the famous Horses of St. Mark certifies the completion of the basilica's reconstruction, accompanied by the Latin inscriptions 'Collocat ung dignis plebs laudibus et colit hymnis ut venetos semper servet ab hoste suos' (Placed this relic for the praises and veneration of the people so that it may forever defend the Venetian people from their enemies). The same phrase is expertly engraved on the artisanal leather strap.
